Mayor declares Royal Blue and White Day

PROCLAMATION

 

WHEREAS, in 2012, the West Feliciana Parish School District made significant gains in the State of Louisiana’s academic assessments, and

 

WHEREAS, more specifically, the West Feliciana Parish School District moved into the ranks of “A” rated in the second year of the state’s letter-grade program; and

 

WHEREAS, in 2012, the West Feliciana Parish School District also maintained its position as the third highest performing district in the state; and

 

WHEREAS, on January 31, 2013, the citizens of West Feliciana Parish will celebrate Royal Blue and White Day in recognition of the aforesaid gains;

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED that I, William H. D’Aquilla, Mayor of the Town of St. Francisville, State of Louisiana, hereby commend the entire West Feliciana School Community for the significant achievements made in the State of Louisiana’s academic assessments.

 

AND ALSO BE IT ORDAINED that I, William H. D’Aquilla, Mayor of the Town of St. Francisville, by the authority vested in me by the citizens of St. Francisville and the Constitution and Statutes of the State of Louisiana, do proclaim Thursday, January 31, 2013, as Royal Blue and White Day throughout the Town of St. Francisville and ask that citizens wear blue and white clothing on that day in support of our outstanding schools.
